Week 13 Preview: Prayer Wear - Divine Healing

Does God still heal today? Some say the gift of healing has ceased, but James tells us in James 5:13-18 to pray for healing if we are sick. Through prayer, many today have seen or experienced firsthand a supernatural work of God related to physical healing. There is another kind of healing, however, that God is even more interested in. Jesus is able to heal physically, but, more significantly, he has the power to heal the spiritual disease of sin that infects us all. In this concluding message of X-Trials, Ed Young makes sense of the confusion regarding divine healing and relates from Scripture how Jesus is still the Great Physician.

This is our last week in James and our last meeting in May. We will be starting up again on Mondays beginning June 4th at 7pm. We'll still be getting our caffeine on at Starbucks! I hope everyone can make it. Remember to invite your friends and family.

I'll see everyone soon!

James 5:13-18
13Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. 14Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. 16Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

17Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. 18Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
